Event Description:
The Association of Specialists in Aging (ASA) invites you to join us in Lifting Up Voices for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on Wednesday, June 12th 2019 2:00-4:00pm at Fairport Harbor Senior Center (1380 East St, Fairport Harbor).
The intent of this year’s theme, and this program, is to unify Elder Justice and Violence Against Women by sharing the lived experiences of Mary, a victim of abuse and exploitation.
After viewing Mary's true story of having been a victim, Sylvia Pla-Raith from the Ohio Attorney General's Office will moderate a discussion about Elder Abuse in Lake County with professionals from the Lake County Sheriff's office, Lake County Adult Protective Services, Lake County Victim’s Advocacy Program, Fairport Harbor Fire Department, and the Prosecutor’s Office.
